If for any reason a non destructive method is not an option, i.e. a faulty lock, I'll always explain the reason why and what the cost will be, before carrying out the work.

Will The Lock Need Drilling or Replacing?
Not every lockout needs a replacement lock afterwards. If the lock is working and a non-destructive opening method is used, it may be possible to keep the existing lock.
If drilling is necessary, I’ll explain what the cost will be before going any further.
If your keys are lost or stolen but you have a spare inside, opening the door fixes the immediate problem. However, a lock change may also be worth considering to prevent someone using the missing keys in the future.
uPVC or Composite Door Will Not Open?
A locked uPVC or composite door does not always mean there's a problem with the lock barell. The fault may involve the handle, door alignment or the multi-point mechanism.
I’ll take a look and explain what I need to do to get the door open. It's important to avoid forcing the handle or key while waiting for help, as this could make the damage worse and lead to a bigger uPVC door lock repair in the long run.
